Quick start

  1. Get an RVN addressOfficial Ravencoin wallet, or a deposit address from an exchange that accepts RVN.
  2. Download a GPU minerT-Rex or GMiner (Nvidia), TeamRedMiner (AMD). KawPoW does not run on ASICs.
  3. Configure the minerUse the chosen mode's stratum address, your RVN address as username, x as password.

FAQ

Do I need to sign up?

No. No account, no password. Your RVN address is your identifier: your first submitted share registers you automatically.

PPLNS or Solo — which one?

PPLNS (0.5%): a block's reward is split among active miners, proportional to their recent shares. Irregular income but the best long-run return if you mine continuously.

Solo (1%): you keep the entire block you find alone. Very high variance — only recommended with substantial hashrate.

What hardware do I need?

KawPoW is designed to resist ASICs: it's mined on graphics cards. Plan for at least 3GB of VRAM. T-Rex and GMiner on Nvidia, TeamRedMiner on AMD.

When do I get paid?

Payments are processed automatically every 10 minutes. Your balance is sent to your wallet once it passes the minimum threshold shown on the home page. On both PPLNS and Solo, a block first has to be found and then sufficiently confirmed by the network.

Why does my displayed hashrate differ from my miner's?

The pool-side hashrate is an estimate calculated from shares received over a sliding window — it naturally fluctuates and takes a few minutes to settle. If in doubt, trust the value shown by your own miner.

Can I use several rigs?

Yes. Use the same RVN address with a different suffix for each machine: YOUR_ADDRESS.rig1, YOUR_ADDRESS.rig2. Each will show up separately in your Dashboard.

What does "effort" mean on a block?

The percentage of work supplied relative to what was statistically expected. Under 100%: the pool got lucky. Above: the block cost more than expected. It evens out over time.

Quick diagnostics

  1. Miner won't connectCheck the port for the chosen mode, and that your firewall / ISP isn't blocking outbound connections on it.
  2. Connected but no sharesNormal for the first few minutes: difficulty adjusts automatically. If nothing after 30 min, check your GPU is really running KawPoW.
  3. Rejected sharesOften caused by high latency or too aggressive an overclock. Lower memory clock by a few dozen MHz.
  4. Empty dashboardCheck that the address you entered exactly matches the one used by your miner, and that you're looking at the right mode.
